Lithuania achieves record-breaking success at CEE Shared Services and Outsourcing Awards

March 29, 2022

This year, Lithuanian representatives took home eight prizes at the CEE Business Services Awards 2022, which is a step up from the previous highest result of seven awards in 2020. Vilnius was recognized as the Most Dynamically Developing City in Central and Eastern Europe, while the second biggest Lithuanian city Kaunas was acknowledged as the Emerging City of the Year. Such recognition again proves that the Business Services sector in Lithuania is constantly improving and delivers desired results to international companies.

International companies in Lithuania have also brought home a substantial number of awards. Telia Global Services won in two categories: it was awarded Business Services Firm of the Year in the Baltics, and Business Centre Director of the Year in CEE, which went to the Head of Group Business Services at Telia Company, Marius Ivanauskas. Dexcom, with its business services centre established in Vilnius in 2020, won the Most Promising New Entrant of the Year. A global healthcare leader, AmerisourceBergen’s World Courier, topped the list of contenders in the categories of the Most Transformed Workplace and the Top CSR Initiative of the Year. Finally, Danske Bank Lithuania came first in the Top Diversity and Inclusion Initiative category.

“Business Service centres in Lithuania stand out for the quality and complexity of the services. While Vilnius has already been an established location for business services for years, it is great to see Kaunas also getting recognized, which indicates that Lithuania is on the right track towards even greater progress. Lithuania as a whole has long been one of the most eligible countries for service centre development. We have all the requisite conditions, including excellent infrastructure, competent professionals, and a favourable investment climate. Such acknowledgements send a strong message to investors, potential employees, and the entire service centre market that Lithuania is eager for the success of the sector’s progress and prospects,” says Vida Staskonienė, director of the Business Development Department at Invest Lithuania.

The CEE Service Center Awards already held the tenth annual event that brings together cities and businesses from across the region, highlighting the importance of the Business Service Center sector.
