Founded in 2008, HGW began by providing managed security services, focusing on advanced monitoring of network infrastructure. Soon, the company branched out into mission-critical application monitoring, and began building its first Security Operations Center (SOC) in 2011. HWG now provides 24/7 proactive security monitoring and incident response services to companies in more than 20 countries around the world. To do so, it operates SOCs in Verona, Dubai and Singapore. Since September 2021, Vilnius has been added to this list.
HGW chose Lithuania as the location for its new SOC, ahead of Spain, Colombia and the Philippines. One key factor in HGW’s decision was the availability in Lithuania of high-level cybersecurity talent. Also decisive were the country’s business-friendly environment, coupled with opportunities to cooperate with local universities, and existing industry expertise.
