Primo Interactive chooses Lithuania for first branch outside of UK

October 18, 2018

Primo Interactive, a UK-based company providing a wide range of services in the fields of software development and digital marketing, has chosen Vilnius for their first office in mainland Europe. The company has already hired 5 local specialists and is looking at expanding the branch to 20 people by the end of 2019. Primo Interactive primarily intends to hire skilled programmers, digital marketing and client support specialists.

According to Andrew Roberts, CEO of Primo Interactive, Lithuania was the perfect fit for expanding the company’s business.

“Lithuania’s high quality of education, talented people, convenient infrastructure, high quality of living and great connectivity are the precise reasons that left no doubt about it being the suitable place for setting up our new branch,” Mr. Roberts says.

The company has been providing software development, web design, advertising, digital marketing and hosting services for over 12 years. Around a third of the current clients are based outside of the UK, and their share is bound to grow to 50-60% in the next 5 years. The bulk of the customers are small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The amalgamation of a wide array of skills (marketing, development, design and more) help the company stand out as a one-stop-shop for clients in search of holistic solutions.

In Lithuania, Primo Interactive has already established ties with Baltic Talents Academy and is actively on the lookout for talented people who would like to join the team and acquire experience by developing current and new projects. Plans include collaboration with universities, mainly in the form of internships, which provide an excellent opportunity for young professionals making their first career steps.

„The UK is the innovation leader of the European Union, and that is why it is an important FDI home market for Lithuania. Intersurgical is the main medical devices manufacturer in Lithuania, Barclays played an important role in forming the country’s IT sector, and globally renowned DeVere were one of the first foreign fintech investors. In today’s political climate, the coming of new companies working in future-oriented fields is a good sign for Lithuania,” states Virginijus Sinkevičius, the Lithuanian Minister of Economy.

According to Mantas Katinas, multifunctionality is a definitive feature of a vast number of Lithuania-based IT companies.

“In Vilnius, Primo Interactive is going to find a thriving community of IT and marketing specialists who are already used to joining forces and deliver shared results,” Mantas Katinas says.

The company’s Vilnius office located in the Workland business centre was officially launched on September 19. The event brought together guests from Go Vilnius, Enterprise Lithuania, Invest Lithuania, British Chamber of Commerce, UK embassy and other entities.

Primo Interactive was established in Chester, Chershire, in 2006.
