The Finnish travel agency Timetravels is to open a customer service centre in Kaunas. Over the next two years, the organiser and official partner for travel to the hometown of Santa Claus plans to employ about 30 customer service specialists in the Lithuanian city who will work with the agency’s main markets worldwide.
In the initial stage of the investment project, the company will employ customer service specialists, project managers, designers and other experts to provide the main services of the company in Finland. As a result, the agency is looking for fluent English speakers with experience in the tourism industry. In the long term, the division in Kaunas will be making sales in Estonia, Latvia, Poland and other neighbouring countries.
“The main office in Finland employs many people who started their career volunteering and working for non-governmental organisations, so we will consider this as valuable experience when hiring new employees. Furthermore, we are going to provide conditions for students of Nordic languages to get practical work experience in our company by dealing with native speakers. Like in our main office in Finland, we will employ the best students,” Mr Koistinen said.
Timetravels is one of the leading travel agencies offering packages to northern region (Lapland, Norway etc) and is the largest provider of these services in China. Last year, the company’s revenue totalled almost EUR 7 million, growing annually by 20%.
Timetravel is the official partner for trips to the hometown of Santa Claus and provides travel services to Lapland. The company has received the Santa Claus Seal to certify this.
