Lithuanian tech innovators Deeper UAB have become the first company from the Baltics to win an award at the prestigious annual Consumer Electronics Show, one of the biggest industry exhibitions in the US. The team received the award for their revolutionary product, the Deeper Fishfinder, a wireless device that uses sonar to detect fish.
Deeper is the first ever fishing device to win a major award at the CES. The small ball-like device can be cast out or submerged to detect fish underwater using sonar. It then interfaces with the user’s smartphone to show them, in real time, the location and depth of the surrounding fish.
Aurelijus Liubinas, the company’s CEO, point out that “we are the only ones in the Baltics to have earned such an award. We stand alongside brands like Lenovo, Samsung, HP and others.” According to Mr Liubinas, 96% of the company’s products are exported to other countries.
