Hollister Incorporated, a healthcare products company, which opened a €50 million plant in the Kaunas Free Economic Zone in 2019 is expanding its production capacity. As announced earlier this year, the company will invest $25 million (€23.6 million) in advanced manufacturing technologies. In addition, “Hollister Lietuva” will hire 70 more associates by the end of 2024.
“Since its inception, the Kaunas site team has been outstanding in its performance. We are highly valued for our competences, we are entrusted with new and increasingly complex tasks, and we are implementing global projects, which guarantees consistent growth. We are pleased to contribute to the company’s overall mission of making life more rewarding and dignified for people who use our products and services,” comments Saulius Bitinas, General Manager of “Hollister Lietuva.”
As well as recruiting new staff, the company nurtures existing team members and provides them with career opportunities. Since its inception, more than 200 “Hollister Lietuva“ associates have been promoted. We also have associates in Lithuania who have been offered global positions. According to Mr. Bitinas, the planned investments will guarantee the company’s further development and, at the same time, the development of associates’ competencies.
In 2017, “Hollister Lietuva” announced plans to create more than 300 jobs in Kaunas. Since then, the company has doubled that expectation, continuing to look for talented engineers, quality assurance and production specialists as it expands its team. The company plans to fill key positions during this year and the next, and by the end of 2024, the “Hollister Lietuva” team should total at least 700 associates.
“Hollister Incorporated” is an independent, employee-owned company that has been in business for over 100 years. The benefits of this management structure have already been felt by the staff of the Kaunas site, where the company introduced an additional incentive program this summer. According to Mr. Bitinas, this program allows the company to sustain its growth while sharing the company’s financial prosperity with its associates.
“Compared to similar benefits offered by other companies, this one is unique in that it is independent of personal performance and applies to all eligible associates. The newly introduced cash award can be granted to all eligible associates each year. The incentive benefits package retains other benefits such as health insurance for all associates, performance bonuses, partially reimbursed meals in the in-house restaurant and other benefits,” says the General Manager of “Hollister Lietuva.”
In the first four years of operation, “Hollister Lietuva” paid more than EUR 6 million in personal income tax and more than EUR 7 million in social security taxes.
