NOKERA, a sustainable construction company headquartered in Switzerland, chose the Lithuanian town of Rudamina for its new production facility. The new factory near Vilnius is expected to employ around 300 specialists over the next few years.
A pioneer of sustainable construction, NOKERA was founded to address the issues of climate change and growing housing shortage. Using wood as the main construction material, the company aims to lead the sustainable construction industry and produce high-standard residential housing for an affordable price.
Sustainalytics has given NOKERA the highest ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Risk Rating globally within the company’s sub-industry.
NOKERA covers the entire value chain – from sourcing materials to providing building maintenance – and uses a tech-based platform to seamlessly combine planning, construction, assembly and services in a uniform system. This allows for an efficient construction process, which in turn enables short timeframes and affordability.
Strategic location, great infrastructure, highly skilled and motivated employees as well as manufacturing competencies are among the reasons why NOKERA chose Vilnius district for a new facility.
NOKERA currently employs more than 500 specialists in Germany and Switzerland and aims to create a substantial number of jobs in Lithuania. The company is looking to hire around 300 employees to work at the new facility across various divisions, including manufacturing, marketing, and management.
