McKesson Lithuania opened its offices in Rinktines street 5, Vilnius in June 2019 and its numbers have been consistently growing ever since, despite the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
MBS Managing director, Dalia Šiaučiulienė says: “We are celebrating our 200th employee milestone in less than two years since our opening. We believe this is the perfect opportunity to celebrate all our colleagues and the new team members that have joined our McKesson community. Together we are shaping future success, reflecting on our achievements and looking forward to new opportunities as we continue to expand. Our community in Vilnius has grown with 130 employees joining over 2020 and we are very excited that will continue growing over this next year.”
“We are proud that we have been continuing to do our jobs throughout this challenging time and have overcome hurdles along the way, as many businesses have had to do. Our teams have also had to adapt to working from home. We want to thank all our employees for keeping their spirits high and going the extra mile to tackle both COVID-19 challenges and opportunities. We do not take their resilience, flexibility, and ongoing commitment for granted.”
“Our employees are greatly motivated by working for a worldwide renowned company which is ranked Top 10 according to the Fortune 500 list and has historical roots going back more than 180 years. We are proud to be part of a global healthcare company that contributes to the wellbeing of society in several meaningful ways and ensures that patients across Europe, the USA and Canada continue to get their medicines when they need them. Our colleagues across the world are now involved in vaccination programmes and it’s wonderful to have that connection.”
The company is focused currently on operating financial services in Lithuania for all McKesson businesses in Europe. “The whole team has been looking for new ways and technological solutions on how to successfully adopt our ordinary knowledge transfer methodologies to the virtual reality,” continues Dalia. “The Vilnius team has demonstrated great flexibility and quickly adapted to the new ways of employee hiring, onboardings and transition methodologies.”
Invest LT Manager, Mantas Katinas, shared: “By joining the country’s Global Business Services (GBS) community, McKesson quickly became an essential part of it. I am delighted that the company notices and values the rapid maturity of Lithuania’s technology sector. Likewise, they put a lot of trust in local professionals to develop solutions that globally create added value to the company.”
Dalia says: “Our service centre focuses on financial services and we are looking for specialists covering a wide range of financial operations and various accounting services. Each employee has the opportunity to gain valuable professional experience, to contribute to the improvement of global processes and the growth of the company in Lithuania also provides great career opportunities for our employees”.
“We are a truly international organisation and it is a nice coincidence that the 200th member of the Vilnius team is from abroad. Stephane Dinagnon, a Senior Accountant, is part of the Accounts Payable team who is originally from Republic of Benin but grew up in France. He joined the company because it was a great way to combine his language skills with his experience in finance and accounting. When asked why McKesson, he said: “The answer is one word the “challenge” but also I’m keen to acquire some new professional skills and to take on a new career trajectory. McKesson is a worldwide brand and its reputation as one of the leaders in the pharmaceutical market speaks for itself. Plus let’s face it – who wouldn’t want to be involved in such professional adventure with one of the ranked Top 10 of the Fortune 500 companies list?”
