We are continuing our transition from a payments card to a bank. Cooperation with the Bank of Lithuania, together with Lithuanian talent, is powering our next chapter – just as they have helped to build Revolut from the very beginning.

Revolut is a UK-based financial technology startup that allows customers to set up an app-based current account in just 60 seconds, and spend money abroad without fees using a contactless MasterCard or Visa debit card. In addition, users can hold and exchange over 30 currencies in-app, and make free domestic and international money transfers using the real exchange rate. The Revolut app also enables users to purchase device and travel insurance, as well as giving them exposure to cryptocurrencies in the fastest and most convenient way.
Revolut opened its office in Vilnius in 2017, having considered Lithuania’s Fintech-friendly business environment, smooth licensing process – and, of course, its pool of readily deployable local specialists. The company also has over 300,000 customers in Lithuania.
Following Brexit, Revolut’s Lithuanian entities are now a hub for all of the company’s European operations. And with 70% of the company’s 13 million customers situated in Europe, becoming a European bank has always been a priority for Revolut.
