December 08, 2015

Global customer experience specialist Transcom ranks among the 10 largest direct employers in Lithuania. According to the employment website cv.lt, Transcom posted the largest number of job ads in Q3 2015. The company is ending the 2015 business year with a considerably expanded team of specialists. Transcom Lithuania now employs more than 800 employees in Vilnius and Kaunas. This is the largest customer services outsourcer by number of employees in Lithuania.

Transcom started operations in Lithuania in 2002, they were the first to open a global customer service centre in Vilnius, and from 2007 in Kaunas. By the number of employees it is the largest Transcom branch in the Baltic States, leaving centres in Estonia (250 employees) and Latvia (550 employees) far behind by the number of employees and customers. Today Transcom offices operating in Lithuania deliver multichannel customer services in 11 languages to more than 30 well-known international and local clients, as well as shared services to 20 internal Transcom branches located in 12 European countries.

“Transcom is very proud to have become one of the 10 largest employers in the country as a result of our business growth and company performance. The company’s rapid growth and team of 800 employees only confirm what we knew 13 years ago before we entered the Lithuanian market. Lithuania is a strategic geographical location for serving European, Russian and Scandinavian customers, and it has a young and well-educated multilingual workforce”, says Vaida Sapole, Manager of Transcom Lithuania.

Transcom is a company that pays special attention to employment. It values willingness to learn, potential, and a positive attitude more than professional skills. We provide young students or specialists that are starting their career with many opportunities in gaining professional experience in the international company.

“It is a pleasure for us to know that many young people started their professional career with us. Transcom is the first employer for approx. 17% of the employees. We also actively encourage and implement initiatives for professional development; 8 out of 10 managers are recruited internally, and a majority of our senior management team started to work as customer service agents.”

The consistent business efforts of Transcom lead to recognition: Transcom was awarded the 2015 European Frost & Sullivan Award for Visionary Innovation Leadership Award for demonstrating the understanding to leverage global mega trends and integrate the vision into processes to achieve strategic excellence. Transcom branch in Lithuania has also been highly evaluated for the services of an exclusive quality by its client, the world’s leader in logistics. The company also received a certificate of the National Socially Responsible Business Award in 2014.

Transcom is planning to continue to growth in 2016, in order to provide customer service to clients of the rapidly growing market in English, Lithuanian, and Russian.
