Lead Aero, a company based in France which represents Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) equipment manufacturers, is to open a branch in Vilnius. The rapidly growing company, which records annual turnover growth of 70%, will use the Vilnius office to provide services to its customers in Eastern and Central Europe.
According to Lead Aero’s manager Amir Mekhaeil, the company chose to set up in Lithuania not only because of the country’s growing economy, but also because of the strong development of its aviation industry. “Due to its convenient geographical position, Lithuania is a great country for developing our business,” commented Mr Mekhaeil. “It is easy to reach other destinations in Europe, and the Middle East and Africa region, from Lithuania. It is equally important that not only the country’s economy, but also the aviation business, have been growing from strength to strength each year. Furthermore, the representatives of Invest Lithuania and lawyers provided assistance of the highest business standard during our expansion to Lithuania.”
Lithuania was chosen ahead of Estonia and Bulgaria, the two other countries shortlisted by Lead Aero for its new branch. The company plans to employ specialists with marketing skills and knowledge of aviation at their office in Vilnius.
At the moment, Lead Aero provides services for companies in the aviation sector in the Baltic States, Africa, the Middle East, Poland and Turkey. The company cooperates with companies such as FL Technics, LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services, Lufthansa Technik Sofia and Czech Airlines Technics in the region.
