Vishay Intertechnology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of electronic components, has announced plans to establish a Customer Experience Center in Vilnius. The new center, set to open in June 2025, will support the company’s sales teams across Europe.
Headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, USA, Vishay manufactures one of the world’s largest portfolios of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components that are essential to innovative designs in the automotive, industrial, computing, consumer, telecommunications, military, aerospace, and medical markets. With 23,500 employees and more than 60 manufacturing plants in 19 countries, Vishay is one of the world’s largest manufacturers in its field.
The new center in Vilnius will initially focus on customer experience operations, providing support to Vishay’s regional sales teams within Europe. Interestingly, the company’s connection to Lithuania runs deeper than this new investment – Vishay was named after Veisiejai, a town in southern Lithuania where the grandmother of the company’s founder, Dr. Felix Zandman, was born.
According to Anne Taylor, Senior VP Global Customer Experience at Vishay, Lithuania stood out among other European locations due to its mature GBS ecosystem and strong talent pool. The company was specifically looking for a location that would support their long-term growth while providing access to multilingual professionals with strong English language skills.
The company is looking to hire Customer Experience Support Administrators, focusing on candidates who are passionate about delivering top-notch customer experience, are into problem-solving with a keen eye for detail and are willing to learn and adapt to evolving business requirements. The positions will require English proficiency, and knowledge of other European languages such as Spanish, French, or German will be an advantage.
