Finnish Metso starts operations in its new business services center in Vilnius

October 11, 2019

The leading Finnish minerals and process technology company Metso has started operations in its next generation Metso Business Services Center in the Park Town business center in Vilnius. In mid-October 2019, the center employed around 30 specialists in accounting and logistics. The number of personnel is expected to grow to around 50 before the end of 2019, and the recruitments are expected to continue in 2020.

The new business services center will be a key location in Metso’s global network, helping to develop and automate Metso’s finance and logistics processes with modern technology such as robotic process automation and artificial intelligence. Vilnius was chosen as the location for the center because of the city’s strong service center culture supporting international companies.

“We are looking forward to a fast ramp up our operations in the new center and we’ve been pleased to see how much interest there has been towards Metso and our new positions in Vilnius. Currently we are operating from temporary premises and will move to new Metso premises in 2020,” explains Ilkka Metsola, Director, Metso Shared Services, Metso Corporation.
