Data Template, a global IT service provider, is setting up an office in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius to support its expansion in Europe. The company provides software engineering services including application development, big data, AI/ML, DevOps, embedded systems, and cloud engineering to its mainly US client base. Attracted by Lithuania’s highly-educated, multilingual talent pool and innovation-friendly business environment, Data Template plans to hire 5-10 engineers in the next 6 months and up to 50 full-time employees in the coming 3 years.
Founded in 2011 in Bangalore, India, Data Template has grown into a global enterprise with over 300 employees across 9 countries. Its focus is on leveraging emerging technologies to support its clients’ ongoing digitalisation. With headquarters in Cincinnati, USA, it provides competitive, high-quality IT services to Fortune 500 companies and high-growth startups in America. Its customer base spans multiple industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, and financial services, and includes a significant partnership with a San Francisco-based company.
Data Template is now focused on global expansion, with a strong emphasis on Europe. This expansion prompted the company to look for a delivery location in Europe that could service clients in the US and Europe while also serving as a technology development centre. It chose Lithuania for this office thanks to the country’s tech talent and attractive conditions.
The Vilnius office will initially act as a technology development and delivery center for clients in the US and Europe. The vision for the Lithuanian division is for it to hold a strategic role within the company’s global delivery structure. It will help Data Template increase its delivery capacity, improve time-to-market, and reduce time-zone frictions for EU clients.
The focus of the team will be AI and data science, cloud engineering, DevOps and Full-stack software development. The team will also host HR and administrative support functions in its initial phase of development. Data Template plans to hire 5 to 10 employees within half a year, before scaling to 50 over 3 years. Employees can expect to benefit from a strong culture of continuous learning and professional development, hybrid and flexible working arrangements, and an inclusive culture.
