Bentley Systems Announces New Office and Major Expansion in Vilnius

Bentley Systems, Incorporated (NASDAQ: BSY), the infrastructure engineering software company, announced today it is expanding its Lithuanian operations with the opening of a new office in Vilnius. The company plans to grow its Lithuanian team of close to 300 colleagues by nearly a third over the next three years, actively recruiting across UX design, product management, and software engineering. This expansion capitalizes on the region’s rapidly maturing technology ecosystem and positions Vilnius as a central hub for Bentley’s European digital innovation strategy.

Bentley Systems has operated in Lithuania for over two decades. Today, engineering teams in Vilnius and Kaunas drive the development of key Bentley solutions, including ProjectWise, for project delivery; SYNCHRO, for construction modeling; and iTwin Platform, the technology powering infrastructure digital twins. The software developed by the local team is instrumental to some of the world’s most ambitious projects – from engineering AI mega datacenters to supporting the construction of complex transit networks such as the pan-European Rail Baltica high-speed railway. 

The Baltics provide a highly educated engineering workforce and a progressive regulatory environment for technology development. 

To sustain this regional talent pipeline, Bentley Systems continues to expand its deep collaboration with local academic institutions. Through strategic partnerships with Kaunas University of Technology and other premier Lithuanian universities, Bentley actively integrates digital twin technology into academic curricula. This hands-on academic bridge ensures that local graduates enter the workforce with highly sought-after expertise in next-generation cloud and AI-driven engineering.
