Head of Department | Work in Lithuania

Invest Lithuania, the country’s investment promotion agency, is a one-stop shop that informs, connects and supports foreign companies in Lithuania. 

We are looking for an experienced professional with excellent strategic, organizational and interpersonal skills to head up Work in Lithuania, a department of Invest Lithuania focused on talent attraction.

Work collaboratively with a dynamic team as Head of Work in Lithuania, ensuring we deliver great results and value by helping businesses in Lithuania to find the right international talent. Your main responsibilities will be: 

  • To develop a strategy for attracting highly qualified international talent to Lithuania, creating opportunities for Lithuania to compete for talent on a global scale. 
  • To define Work in Lithuania’s goals structure and its model for measuring value and performance. 
  • To plan and oversee the activities of the department, ensuring that plans and strategies are implemented effectively. 
  • To coordinate the execution of projects carried out by Work in Lithuania. 
  • To identify bottlenecks and proactively initiate changes, improving or innovating the department’s processes in constant collaboration with Invest Lithuania’s General Director.  
  • To cooperate with Lithuanian and foreign government institutions, business structures and companies, represent Invest Lithuania in matters of foreign talent attraction. 
  • To represent Invest Lithuania in matters of foreign talent attraction at internal and external events both in Lithuania and abroad, and at inter-institutional meetings in Lithuania. 
  • To demonstrate inspirational leadership, communicating Work in Lithuania vision to the team and enabling them to act. 
  • To ensure that all team members understand the importance of their personal contribution to Work in Lithuania’s activities and can see a clear future career path within the organization.  
  • To manage the onboarding of new employees, including defining their trial period and setting performance goals and objectives based on Work in Lithuania’s personnel management process. 
  • To evaluate employee performance and deliver appraisals based on their performance goals. 
  • To be on the Invest Lithuania Management team and contribute to the implementation of Invest Lithuania’s strategic goals and direction.  

We expect you to have:

  • At least 4 years of successful management experience. 
  • A Master’s degree. From an internationally ranked university would be an advantage. 
  • Good knowledge of economic and business development strategies, and familiarity with macro trends in the EU (preferably in Lithuanian) and globally, along with the latest developments in talent policy. 
  • Experience working with the development of projects, products or services, including sales and/or marketing experience. 
  • A proactive approach, with a focus on achieving the set goals and expected results for your activities. 
  • Good communication and networking skills, and the ability to  combine different opinions and approaches in order to constructively solve difficult communication situations. 
  • The ability to facilitate and encourage teamwork. 
  • The ability to gather, manage, systematize, and summarize information, and draw relevant conclusions. 
  • Good presentation skills in English and the ability to connect with and engage an audience. 
  • Fluent English language skills (level C1 and above).
