Team Lead | Life Sciences team

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Life Sciences Team Lead to join our team and spearhead strategic initiatives that attract investments, strengthen Lithuania’s position in the global life sciences industry, and shape the country’s future in this rapidly evolving sector. 

As the Life Sciences Team Lead at Invest Lithuania, you will be an integral part of the Investment Development Department, working closely with partners, stakeholders, and investors worldwide. In this role, you will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategic projects, identifying and promoting investment opportunities, fostering industry growth, and driving Lithuania’s competitive edge in the life sciences field.

Your leadership will play a crucial role in attracting cutting-edge investments, nurturing innovation, and ensuring Lithuania continues to grow as a leading life sciences hub in Europe. 

What will you be doing? 

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for attracting foreign investment into Life Sciences verticals (Biopharma, Bioeconomy).  
• Innovate sales strategy and monitor its implementation by participating in meetings with top clients and taking part in key consultations and negotiations.  
• Closely follow global industry development, identify trends and opportunities for Lithuania, and develop and maintain key partnerships with relevant organizations both abroad and locally. 
• Coordinate with public institutions, provide necessary consultations and recommendations on the development of National Life Sciences Strategy to ensure smooth development of Life Sciences industry in Lithuania.  
• Maintain relationships with the biggest companies in the LS industry in Lithuania. 
• Build relationships with Top executives and influencers within the Life Sciences realm (US, Asia and Western European markets primarily). 
• Regularly review, update and innovate Lithuania’s value proposition.  
• Focus on the professional and personal growth of the team, including conducting performance and compensation reviews.  
• Provide feedback, coaching and delegate tasks to team members to help them improve their performance.  
• Manage the onboarding of new employees, including defining their trial period and setting performance goals and objectives.

What do we expect from you? 

• A Bachelor’s degree. From an internationally ranked university would be an advantage.   
• 5+ years in related sector with a focus on sales, consulting or product/business development (experience in an international company outside of Lithuania would be a strong advantage).  
• Experience in team management or significant project ownership would be an advantage.  
• An understanding of Lithuania’s business environment and economic literacy, an interest in investment attraction in the Life Sciences field. In-depth knowledge of the Life Sciences sector (both in Lithuania and abroad) is a big plus.   
• Understand existing industry clusters in Lithuania and be able to support their operations by initiating investment environment improvement. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in​ ​English (C1) and Lithuanian. 
• Creativity and the drive to improve, learn and achieve big results– in other words, a desire to challenge and change the status quo.   
• Strong inter-personal and inter-cultural communication and presentation skills, problem solving skills and client-facing skills.

• Gross salary from 4050 to 4800 Eur/month, depending on candidate’s qualifications and experience level
