What began as a destination for efficient, transactional operations has steadily evolved from volume to value – with centres now integrating AI into operations, investing in new capabilities, and strengthening productivity.

Today, Lithuania is increasingly associated with centres of excellence – trusted with broader ownership, process leadership, and specialised capabilities across technology, finance, data, and transformation. With 105 GBS centres employing around 26,000 specialists and generating approximately 2% of Lithuania’s GDP last year, the sector continues to demonstrate its growing strategic value.

The insights presented in this overview draw on unique data collected by Invest Lithuania between February and March 2026. The structured dataset captures the composition, scale, and evolving operational complexity of Lithuania’s GBS & ICT sector.
Our methodology combined desk research with an online survey of companies operating in Lithuania. A total of 64 companies, employing over 24,000 professionals, participated in the survey, offering additional insights into functional complexity, talent, and future prospects.
