We chose Lithuania for many reasons. First, there is a pool of highly qualified software engineers here, and the universities are prepared to constantly improve their training. Secondly, it is particularly important for us that we can be an important player in the country’s information technology ecosystem, not just benefitting from its advantages, but also sharing our valuable experiences with others. Thirdly, the assistance of Invest Lithuania contributed significantly to our decision.

Its independent online review platform is built with this purpose in mind: any consumer can review any business and any business can invite consumers to share reviews about their experiences. With more than 34 million reviews of 184,000 businesses from a variety of industries worldwide, Trustpilot is quickly becoming the world’s leading independent review site. Reviews of businesses on the Trustpilot platform are seen more than 2 billion times each month by consumers worldwide. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Denmark, Trustpilot has offices in Copenhagen, London, New York, Denver, Berlin, Melbourne and Vilnius, Trustpilot’s 550 employees represent more than 40 different nationalities.
Established in 2017, Trustpilot’s Vilnius office has teams from two of the company’s departments: Technology and Compliance.
The Technology unit consists of Product and Platform teams that focus on e-commerce integrations, big data and business authentications, amongst other things. The teams are working to continuously increase the level of our offerings and enhance our products.
The Compliance unit is charged with safeguarding trust, protecting the quality and integrity of the platform, and helping set best practices in the online review industry. Alongside answering user questions, Compliance agents tackle fraud detection, disputes and misuse of the platform – making sure it stays transparent and trustworthy.
